Trinity River Crew Impacts the Environment
For the second year, Trinity Park Conservancy and Greenspace Dallas (formerly known as GroundWork Dallas) are poised to make a huge environmental impact in the Trinity River corridor through the Trinity River Crew.
The Trinity River Crew is a paid conservation service learning experience for high school students which educates and inspires the next generation of environmental leaders while supporting conservation efforts along the Trinity River Corridor’s 10,000 acres.
Under the leadership of Trinity Park Conservancy and Greenspace Dallas, the Trinity River Crew is a joint program that teaches crew members about local conservation efforts which restore or develop in the Trinity River Corridor. Environmental assessments including water quality monitoring, macroinvertebrate surveys, litter removal, plant identification, and bird counts are just a few of the hands-on citizen science opportunities that the crew will take on this summer.
The Trinity River Crew program will begin on June 14th.
