Outdoor Classroom at Harold Simmons Park

Mar 14

1:00 - 2:00pm
Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge
301 Canada Drive, Dallas, TX 75212

CANCELLATION NOTICE: This event has been cancelled due to inclement weather.

On March 14th, Trinity Park Conservancy is partnering with Olinka Green from the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival to discuss the importance of Civic Engagement in Dallas and voter turnout.

In 2018 only 6 percent of Dallas’ population voted in the mayoral election, the median age of that voter was 62 years old. After a TED talk style discussion with Olinka, audience members will have time to connect with the Poor People’s Campaign and Commissary Is Very Necessary, Inc.

Bring a blanket or lawn chair to enjoy our Outdoor Classroom series. There will be learning for all ages. Topics vary at each event and we will hold instructional workshops.
