Trinity River Volunteer Day

Aug 15

9:00 - 11:00am
Virtual Event

Join us every 3rd Saturday of the month (March – October) for a fun, family-friendly volunteer trash cleanup! This month, we are continuing our #VirtualTrashBash to allow everyone to participate from their own neighborhoods, local parks, and trails. During this time of physical distancing, we still believe that the #TrinityRiverConnectsUs and that Trinity Park Volunteers can make a positive impact on Dallas.

On Saturday, August 15 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM:

  • pick up trash in your neighborhood, local parks, and trails or
  • go through household waste and sort out what can be recycled or composted and
  • report your results once you’ve completed your clean up!

Register to receive step by step information on how to safely participate and join the online conversation. Click here to download the Virtual Volunteer Day Event Guide.

In the event of inclement weather, we encourage you to complete your trash pick-up within one week of the scheduled event and respond to the post-event survey by Saturday, August 22.

The Trinity River is our river. All of us can contribute to the care and maintenance of the River. From wetlands, forests, and prairies to recreational areas, trails, and overlooks, volunteers help to keep the river clean and green by removing debris and invasive plants from the landscape and water and planting and caring for native plants.

This volunteer project is part of the Trinity Park Conservancy Volunteer Program, sponsored by Southwest Airlines and fueled by Houndstooth Coffee.
